Inspire 08' - Worship Leaders Conference Date: May 15, 2008
We're currently in Gatlinburg, TN for Inspire 08'. This is the first Inspire conference for worship leader Carl Cartee. This production is a little unique for us as we are not doing any IMAG, only presentation and playout. We are using a non-standard aspect ratio of 4:1 (three 4:3 screens wide). The HD video content is edited to fit the 2400 x 600 resolution. The screens are DLP projection cubes by Christie, each are 50" and have no bezel which allows for a nice thin seam. (

The conference is an excellent resource for worship leaders and worship teams. Learn more about the conference here (

Element Church Podcasts Date: May 1, 2008
We've been shooting video of every service at Element Church since its' beginning. We decided to start a video and audio podcast integrated into the iTunes store to allow simple automated distribution for all types of uses including AppleTV, iPod, iPhone, DVD, CD, and direct computer playout. We are using the H.264 codec with good results. The filesizes are fairly large, but the services average 1 1/2 hours so one would expect a decent looking video to be a large file.

NAB Show 2008 Date: April 18, 2008 df
We just got back from the National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas. (
www.nabshow.com) Wow, what a huge event! I ordinarily wouldn't take that much time out of my schedule for a conference, but 2008 is an important year. High Definition is a reality, and with the official "win" going to Sony's Blu-Ray we now actually have a deliverable format to the end viewer. So, I felt like I needed to be there to see what equipment the vendors have up their sleeve. Well worth the trip!
Since Divine Communications is focused on staying ahead of the curve, we constantly search for new gear and innovative methods for production.
Element Church
Date: April 1, 2008
We've been helping Element Church (
www.elementc3.com) with their media since late last year. Since we started in the production business in 2001 we have always tried to be involved in helping all types of ministries with their media needs. Element takes this one step further
We are there every week! The setup is relatively simple; three DLP projectors, three screens, one HD 3CCD camera, and one MacBook Pro. This production is very effective and looks incredibly cool.
Our future plans are to bring our mobile production rig on-site for a multi-camera shoot, probably sooner than later!
